A nice Franconian early SA dagger find with original engraved crossguard!
Daggers blade still with a sharp pointed end and with a nice clean harder to
find maker mark from JOHANNISWERK BAYREUTH. Blade is not anymore
the brightest one but it is uncleaned same as for the rest of the dagger.
Crossguard is Gau marked with Fr for Franconia, other side is original engraved
with "San.-Sturm. Brigade 72 Erlangen". I assume there was something else
engraved on the end but it looks it was worn off or on purpose eliminated.
One upper scabbard screw is missing, lower ball shows a dent.
Otherwise the original black anodizing color is still very nice and further
the complete belonging hanger is present with the belt loop hanger.

SA Dagger by Dick Esslingen
Very nice clean early SA dagger by Dick Esslingen.
Original anodized scabbard with normal ageing spots, undamaged dark grip.
Nothing is upgrated or polished on this example. The blade is super nice with all
original crossgrain. All screws are unturned, neither the pommel screw was ever open.
The original hanger is still in place. Lower crossguard is Wm Gau marked.
The wooden grip is absolure crack free. Lower scabbard ball has only one really tiny bruise.

KM Navy Dagger maker Eickhorn
Eickhorn maker marked Navy dagger. An absolute stunning piece in such a
condition and still with the original tied knot and the original belonging hanger set.
Super blade, the Grip has not a single crack or damage and the felt is also still there.
